About
I'm Abil Shrestha, a product-minded design engineer based in New York. I help early-stage teams execute fast and build polished software experiences, working across both the design and the production code so an idea can go from sketch to shipped without a hand-off in the middle.
What I work on
Most of my recent work sits where interfaces meet AI coding agents:
- Shaddercn (2026): a design system for agents, so the interfaces they generate start from consistent, well-made parts.
- Tracer (2025): an issue tracker for coding agents that keeps track of tasks and their dependencies across sessions, so an agent doesn't lose context when a conversation ends.
- v0 templates (2025): a collection of templates for v0.
Writing
I write about how coding agents are built and how to get better results from them:
- Droid Maxxing: how I use Factory Droids and skills to ship faster.
- Ampcode: A Better Architecture for Coding Agents: what reverse engineering Ampcode taught me about sub-agents, tool interfaces and multi-model collaboration.
- Tracer: Solving Context Loss in AI Coding Agents: why markdown TODO lists fall short and how dependency-aware task tracking helps.
Interface explorations
The home page and the Playground collect small interface experiments, such as animated toolbars, a dynamic island, ASCII video, 3D galleries and hold-to-delete buttons. Each one is built in code to test how an interaction feels, not just how it looks.
